Night Nikka in the Wood

On Friday 2 October we shared with our wonderful customers another fantastic evening that took us directly to Japan, home of whiskey of the highest level accompanied by our friend Laura Belli from the Ararat Gardens.

Homemade frisella with buffalo mozzarella, porcini salad and dried tomato crumble, fheptuccine of nettle with porcini mushrooms and pecorino and second courses of your choice accompanied the tasting of the Nikka Whiskey: 

 

We started with Yoichi Single Malt. The first distillery of the NIKKA group that reflects its marine character of the coasts of the island of Hokkaido by presenting a whiskey with fascinating saline notes ...

The tasting follows with Miyagikyo Single Malt. The Miyagikyo comes from a distillery that is renowned and known for the purity and richness of its waters which give the whiskey an unmistakable sweetness with delicate floral aromas.

We end with the Nikka Taketsuru which is born from the blend of malts from the two previous distilleries, with a minimum aging of 10 years, whose name is a tribute to the founder Masataka Taketsuru.

All accompanied by the Toscano Puccini cigar.
