Dried fruit, apricots and a hint of wildflower honey anticipate a palate that continues on the tones of plums, spicy jams, with a variation of mango and citrus fruits. The selected barrel contains rum of the MBS mark, one of the \"lightest\" in terms of esters (between 10 and 60 grams per hectolitre) distilled in a triple column.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe organoleptic impact is that of a polite and balanced Jamaican rum, with the inevitable tropical fruit which is enriched with floral and almost medicinal nuances, even enriched with umami notes of dried fruit and more. On the palate it is full and very tasty, the candied dried fruit blends with a salty liquorice and touches of wood, salted peanuts and citrus fruits, up to an enveloping and long finish, with an almost herbaceous and tobacco astringency that makes the sip epic .\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003cu\u003eSaint James 12 yo\u003c\/u\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe only agricultural rhum in the release comes from the largest and oldest distillery in Martinique, the historic Saint James (founded in 1765). This rum is distilled in a Creole column starting from a blend of two vintages, 2003 and 2010.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eCompared to the previous two, here the sweeter and deeper dimension emerges distinctly: caramel, sweet tobacco, but also pralines and a part of wood and tonka bean.  The herbaceous soul of the agricole emerges on the palate, with a play of spices and herbal teas enriched with milk chocolate and raisins, with a hint of red fruits. Sugar cane (and a touch of coffee) appear in the finish, chewy and very long.\u003cb\u003e\u003cu\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eHampden 13 yo\u003c\/u\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe series ends with him, His Majesty Hampden, the fetish distillery founded in Trelawny in 1753 and which has become a Mecca for lovers of \"high esters\" Jamaican rums. Even if specifically it is the LROK mark, a \"light rum\" (200\/400 grams per hectolitre). Specifically, this is one of the oldest Hampdens ever released.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe classic Hampden funky nose is more polite and refined here, with pineapple paired with honey and flowers, banana and a hint of that lovely almost farmhouse note and salami skin. The palate is very full, with a great body as always.
