Velier Royal Navy

Velier Royal Navy was born out of a desire to recreate the Royal Navy blend, but with the Velier approach, so the best possible. Royal Navy blends were assemblages of young rums from the various British Caribbean colonies, then darkened with a heavy addition of caramel. Velier Royal Navy, on the other hand, is a blend of the most aged rums from Trinidad, namely Caroni Aged in the tropics for a minimum of 20 years, Guyanese rums aged in Europe for more than 15 years, and a blend of Jamaican rums aged in the tropics for more than 12 years. The final average aging is 17.42 years; the master blender was Luca Gargano, who personally created the blend. To be consumed neat: there is no better way to appreciate such a complex but extremely pleasant drinking rum.

A curiosity: the two characters portrayed in the label's emblem are Amleto Mori and Sergio Storti, two of Veiler's most historical collaborators, present in its offices since the early years of Luca Gragano's direction and still working. Velier pays tribute to them this way: by portraying them as "good" pirates, as opposed to the "bad" pirates who drank rum on the sailing ships of the British colonists.

Tiger Sharks 2nd Release

The Velier Royal Navy "Tiger Shark" Second Release Rum is a very rich Rum of the highest level. It is a prestige label dedicated to connoisseurs and collectors of great Caribbean Rums. Unlike the Rums of the Habitation Velier selection, which are born and are expressions of a particular territory or a single island, in this case Luca Gargano wanted to personally create an original cuvée. Tiger Shark was born from the union of 3 Caribbean blends whose distillery and location we know neither.

Nonetheless, rather than finding precise clues as to the provenance of such elaborate, it is worth allowing oneself to be enveloped by its opulent and fragrant sip.

The "Tiger Shark "releases in the glass all its elegant power, noble aromatic richness and mysterious charm. In the glass it has a beautiful bright amber color and the nose expresses a variegated and heady palette, with aromas of ripe yellow fruit, soft tropical hints, dried fruit, candied citrus peel, caramel, cocoa, dark chocolate, hints of oriental spices and hints of oak. On the palate it is full-bodied, persistent and deeply complex accompanying fruition notes of dried and macerated fruit for a rich and flavorful finish.
