Rum Karukea represents a true excellence in the context of prestigious distilleries being still linked to the artisan traditions of production and distillation. Only the high-quality canne bleue is used as raw material. The Karukera 2008 agricultural rum is the result of careful distillation and long aging in barrel 26 subsequently aged in French oak barrels in the Marquisat de Sainte Marie estate in Guadeloupe. Distilled in 2008, it was specially selected by Luca Gargano to be bottled on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Maison Velier.
