Elephant
The idea of a gin inspired by Africa was born thinking about the "sundowner", a kind of evening aperitif that can be sipped at sunset, after a day spent in the African savannahs. Sunset G&Ts are a great tradition and what could be better than a gin made with exotic African plants to capture this moment? Thus, while juniper is still the dominant flavour, Elephant Gin stands out with its harmonious combination of plants, roots and leaves which not only make the flavor unique but transmit tradition and culture. To create Elephant Gin its founders were inspired by their adventurous experiences in Africa. Elephant London Dry is a premium quality artisan gin with an alcohol content of 45%. The unique blend of 14 herbs and spices includes rare African ingredients and fresh apples that give the gin a distinctive flavor profile. There are, for example, the citrus scents of the baobab, the extraordinary bucco plant, which on the palate recalls blackcurrants, and African artemisia, with its distinct floral aroma. However, the aromatic profile of gin is characterized by apples, which are used in large quantities. The nose is captured by a subtle aroma of juniper, with nuances of mountain pine and other herbaceous notes. The flavor is complex but incredibly smooth, full of floral, fruity and spicy aromas that can be appreciated by drinking the gin both straight and in a cocktail. Elephant Gin is distilled using artisanal methods, with copper stills in small batches of around 600 bottles. The secret of quality is hand-selected botanicals, local spring water and no addition of artificial flavors after distillation.
