Compass Box has broken all the molds of the famous Scottish distillate bringing to the fore a category that until the early 2000s lived in the shadow of single malt and blended scotch. In fact, blended malt is a whiskey that comes from the assembly of only malt whiskeys from different distilleries. John Glaser started by playing with the bottles of his collection combined with the samples he had available for work, his first blends were made in the kitchen of his home in London and were assembled to create blends to give as gifts to friends and relatives. His has always been a creative and artistic approach, based on an innate talent worthy of the greatest noses in the whiskey world. From that kitchen, the Compass Box blends have won the opinion of the greatest experts and today, after more than 20 years, Compass Box has a blending room in the heart of London, a team of more than 12 people and an aging warehouse in the heart of Scotland.
