Five centuries of history, a family tale spanning 21 generations with an innate love for the land and wine.

Evidence of the Bisol family's presence in the historic heart of the Prosecco production area, namely the territory called "Chartice" - the current and highly prestigious Cartizze hill - can be found as early as the 16th century.

Only the brutality of the First World War managed temporarily to halt the small but flourishing trade that Eliseo Bisol had started at the beginning of the century.

The Valdobbiadene area was right on the border that pitted the Austro-Hungarian and Italian armies - however, the Bisol family's centuries-old winemaking business revived around the mid-1920s, thanks to Desiderio Bisol, Eliseo's son.

After World War II, Desiderio - affectionately called Jeio by his wife - traveled in the saddle of his red Moto Guzzi among the hills of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano in search of the best land to buy, so that his wines could encapsulate the characteristics of these different but complementary terroirs of the 1920s, thanks to Desiderio Bisol, Eliseo's son.
