Eigashima - White Oak Distillery
Eigashima Distillery, also known as White Oak, was founded in 1888 in the town of Akashi, close to the sea and near Kobe. It was the first distillery to obtain a license in 1919 and to produce the highest quality Japanese whiskey alongside the more traditional sake and shochu, benefiting from a pristine environment of clean air and the purest water.
The production philosophy reflects the Japanese vocation for attention to detail, maintaining low quantities and high quality. Eigashima White Oak is a testament to the success that Japanese Whisky has had especially in recent years, gaining an increasing share of the market and connoisseurs from around the world.
