National Rum of Jamaica

The National Rum of Jamaica series contains the most authentic Jamaican rum releases. At the beginning of the 19th century, Jamaica was the largest rum-producing island in the world, with more than 100 sugar mills and distilleries attached. Like the other former English colonies (Trinidad, Barbados, Guyana) Jamaica sold its rum in bulk to English blenders in Europe, who mixed it according to different styles thanks to the different marks that each distillery produced. The marks, acronyms that signify the barrels, are specific formulas peculiar to each distillery and differ according to the type of fermentation and distillation, giving rise in the rum to different non-alcoholic substances called congeners (esters, aldehydes and higher alcohols), in fact it is the essential oils that form the aromatic bouquet of the product. The National Rum of Jamaica range enhances two famous Jamaican distilleries, Monymusk and Long Pond, with bottling for single marks at full degree and tropical aging, never produced in the history of rum.
