In 2001, Marilisa Allegrini and her brother Walter decided to embark on a new and exciting project, a counterpoint to their beloved Valpolicella. Fascinated by the beauty of the place and its immense potential, they immediately understood that Bolgheri would be the setting for this new chapter. This venture, called Poggio al Tesoro, is a story of dedication, commitment, and respect for the environment. Today, Marilisa's daughters, Carlotta and Caterina, continue this initiative, honoring their uncle's memory. Poggio al Tesoro has become one of the most vibrant and influential forces in the Bolgheri wine scene.
