Bordiga

In 1888, Pietro Bordiga—a passionate herbalist and expert on Alpine botany and Eastern spices—invented a recipe for Turin Vermouth and launched his business by opening a distillery in Cuneo. Success was immediate; the excellence of his product earned him requests from various prominent establishments in the city—so much so that even today, the historic Turin café Caffè Mulassano, one of the oldest in Italy, serves its own Vermouth made using Bordiga’s exclusive recipe.

The philosophy and product quality that inspired the founder remained unchanged; production continued to be based on carefully selected, high-quality raw materials. These characteristics endure to this day: fine Piedmontese wine, Alpine medicinal herbs still hand-picked by mountain dwellers, the finest spices, the purest grain alcohol, the finest sugar, and water from our Alps—these form the foundation upon which our master distillers, drawing on their ancestral and jealously guarded expertise, produce the renowned Bordiga products that are now appreciated around the world.
