Domaine Laroche
The history of Domaine Laroche begins in the mid-19th century, in 1850 to be precise, when neither AOC nor cru yet existed, in a time when the winemakers were direct heirs of the Cistercian monks.
For over a century and a half, the Domaine has continuously produced wines of the highest quality, but the epochal turning point came with Michel Laroche who, from 1967 and over the course of about forty years, was able to infuse the company with such dynamism as to increase the vineyard property from six to 130 hectares, a large part of which is located on the hill of the grand crus and premier crus of Chablis.
Laroche today is a brand known throughout the world, which maintains its historic headquarters in one of the most beautiful buildings in Burgundy, the Obediencerie of Chablis, but has possessions scattered across Languedoc, Chile and South Africa, as well as in Chablis itself. Despite the impressive numbers, everything revolves around the highest quality standards, starting from the care of the vineyards up to the work processes in the cellar.
Among the rows, in the name of maximum respect for the environment, nature, ecosystem and biodiversity, every agronomic choice is careful and prudent, adopted to ensure that, harvest after harvest, healthy and genuine grapes are harvested on time, concentrated and rich in every single detail. organoleptic nuance.
In the cellar, the philosophy followed is not very distant from that applied in the vineyard, so starting from vinification and moving on to the aging, bottling and refinement phases, every attention is paid to achieving the highest quality levels. With a range that includes more than forty labels, Laroche is synonymous with elegance and authenticity, and is based on a production philosophy that has remained that of the past, for which the search for excellence, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, is aimed at guaranteeing the maximum expression of identity of each terroir.
