Grape of the Art

The idea for Grape of the Art was born during a blind tasting of the Rum & Whiskey group in Stuttgart, in which many of the members were pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality and variety of Armagnac.

Lovers of high-quality barrel-strength spirits, the group composed of Robert Bauer, Christian Maier, Sascha Junkert, Leonard Stumpf and Oliver Gerhardt dived deeply into the microcosm of brandy, discovering that on the German and European markets in general very few were the bottlings that met certain expectations, i.e. unaltered and undiluted single barrels.

Driven by curiosity, the GotA group explored the Armagnac and Cognac regions, meeting wonderful personalities who opened their warehouses giving the opportunity to taste the spirits directly from the barrel.

Thanks to their experiences, GotA wants to show especially rum and whiskey lovers the interesting panorama of Cognacs and Armagnacs.
