Worthy Park Estate

The name Worthy Park Estate identifies a very ancient property, dated 1670, granted to the British lieutenant Francis Price for the services offered to Cromwell during the conquest of the island at the expense of the Spanish. Sugar production began in 1710 and has never stopped until today, managed by only three families in 340 years. The production of rum from molasses begins in the same period and makes the Estate the oldest distillery on the island. In 2013 Worthy Park Estate covers a huge area of 3600 hectares, a complex so large that it can be clearly seen even from satellite photos of the island.
