Foletto Heritage

The history of the Foletto laboratory begins with its founder, Giovanni, a pharmacist who began production in 1850 in Ledro, a small valley in the heart of the Dolomites, 650 meters above sea level in Trentino, a few kilometers from Riva del Garda. Now in its fifth generation of apothecary pharmacists, the company continues to produce liqueurs with botanicals from the Alps and Lake Garda.

The Foletto family has a strong bond with the Ledro area. In the apothecary's botanical garden, just meters from the pharmaceutical museum, medicinal botanicals are grown, which inspire all the liqueurs in the Heritage line.

In the early days of pharmaceuticals, aromatized wine was a natural remedy for physical and mental ailments. It was used as a vehicle for the active ingredients of medicinal herbs and to "aperice"—prepare and stimulate digestion. The Foletto Heritage line is made up of original formulas from pharmacists from different generations of the Foletto family. Produced with the same artisanal process in small batches of 450 liters and slow maceration of Dolomite and Lake Garda botanicals and Trentino wines.
