Allegrini

Owned by the homonymous family since the 16th century, the company can count on over one hundred hectares of vineyards located on the hills of Fumane, Sant'Ambrogio, San Pietro in Cariano and more generally in all the historical areas of the denomination. A territory dedicated to viticulture since ancient times, as confirmed by the etymology of its name: "val polis cellae" means, in fact, "the valley of many cellars". Located in western Veneto, between Verona and Lake Garda, and bordered to the north by the Lessini Mountains, the Allegrini company is located in an area where the corvina, the rondinella, the molinara and the other historic autochthonous vines give life to those that can be considered in all respects some of the best reds of the Peninsula.
The Poggio al Tesor estate in Bolgheri also belongs to the Allegrini family, one of the most interesting and evocative areas of Tuscany.
In 2001 Marilisa Allegrini and her brother Walter, animated by the desire to compete with a new and at the same time different project from their beloved Valpolicella, immediately fell in love with this area, its beauty and its great potential. And here they gave birth to a dream and an emotion, which today is called Poggio al Tesoro and which extends for more than 70 hectares between the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the last offshoots of the Metalliferous Hills.
In just a few years, Poggio al Tesoro has become one of the most dynamic and significant realities on the Bolgheri scene, able to stand out for the excellence and originality of its wines, the expression of a marked identity.
