Flor de Cana

Originally from Genoa, the Pellas family moved to Nicaragua way back in 1890, where they began their huge sugar cane cultivation. In 1937, within the same estate, they founded their own independent distillery, at the time called Liquor Company of Nicaragua, which will later take the name of Flor de Caña. In 1959, Flor de Caña's Slow Aged Rum arrived in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala and Venezuela. From the 60s to the 90s the distillery was equipped with the most modern technologies in the sector and its rums also arrived in the countries of Central America. Currently, the fifth generation of the Pellas family manages the company, with total control of each production step, for each single phase, from the cultivation of the raw material to the final marketing. Today Rum Flor de Caña is known throughout the world as a product of absolute excellence.
