Bowmore
Founded in 1779, Bowmore is the first distillery on Islay and one of the oldest in Scotland. Situated on the shores of Loch Indaal in the island's capital, Bowmore is known for producing its renowned malt whiskey which sticks strictly to tradition using a production method which hasn't changed in 2 centuries. The unique combination of pure water from the River Laggan, handcrafted floor malting, the finest oak casks and a team of dedicated craftsmen have come together to create the perfect balance for a wide variety of whiskeys of different ages and finishes that are renowned for their light, distinct, peaty and salty taste.
