Distilled in Uitvlugt, Guyana, way back in 1989, this 32-year-old Demerara Rum has been aged mainly in a continental climate and still holds an alcohol content of 49.5%. The Uitvlugt distillery, located on the western bank of the Demerara River, closed its doors in 1999, making these rums increasingly rare. This Single Cask is a true collector's item, embodying all the richness of Guyanese rums. After 32 years of maturation, this rum has acquired exceptional depth and complexity. The continental climate ageing has allowed for a slow and controlled evolution, sublimating the woody and spicy aromas. Selected and bottled in 2022 by Belgian bottler Corman Collins, this rum comes from a single cask, without chill filtration or additions. An exceptional cuvée, designed for lovers of rare and characterful rums.
