Old Perth

Old Perth is a brand of Morrison Scotch Whiskey Distillers managed by the Morrison family.

In every whiskey the Morrisons are committed to continuing to pass on the knowledge passed down through generations of family whiskey makers.

The Scottish city of Perth was once the distilling capital of the world. However, as whiskey companies relocated in search of less rural environments in the last century, the city of Perth was slowly forgotten.

Old Perth was a lost blend originally created by Peter Thomson, who began his career in the grocery, wine and spirits industry in Perth in 1908, but soon created his own whiskey blends. One of these was Old Perth, which quickly proved popular with Scottish publicans. In the 1960s, experts held Old Perth whiskey in high regard for its high malt content (and the inclusion of one of the most prestigious single malt sherry whiskeys in the world). It was considered one of the best blends in existence.

Almost half a century later, one of Scotland's oldest whiskey families, the Morrisons (formerly Morrison Bowmore Distillers), have purchased Old Perth and brought its legacy back to life for all to enjoy.
