A historic champagne with a blend unchanged for decades consisting of 40% chardonnay, 57% pinot noir and 3% pinot meunier. Added to these are 20/25% reserve wines from the previous two vintages. An elaborate that always succeeds in being a certainty, balanced and relaxed, very fine, characterized by that volume and richness that distinguishes the Ruinart style.
Bright straw yellow, with a very fine and persistent perlage. The nose reveals notes of white-fleshed fruits, apricot, hazelnuts and fresh almonds. Some floral and spicy, brioche and cookie notes add further complexity to a crisp and balanced, round and pulpy taste. Fresh and elegant, it closes with a finish of rare persistence.
