Nero d'Avola is a malleable grape with great qualities, in this Sicilia Nero d'Avola DOC "Materico" from Cantine Pellegrino 1880, we find it in a simple and very pleasant version. The vineyards are located in the Agro di Salaparuta area, in the province of Trapani, growing on young soils, characterized by clay and carbonate soils at an altitude of about three to four hundred meters above sea level. Harvesting takes place in early October when fully ripe, the grapes undergo partial maceration and subsequent vinification with temperature control, aging four months in steel. A Nero d'Avola proposed in its most honest form.

It shows a delicate ruby red color and beautiful clarity. The nose opens with nonchalant and inviting notes of red fruits, morello cherry and blackberry, no shortage of hints of spice, cloves and a hint of cinnamon. On the palate the wine is fruity and fresh, the tannin is gentle and the savoriness is pleasant and evident. Nice fruit finish.
