To celebrate 5 years of existence of the Christian Drouin Experimental range and our tenth edition, we had the great joy of collaborating with the most iconic brand in artisanal Scotch whisky: Springbank.

Our relationship with Springbank is not new as twenty years ago the distillery had used our calvados casks for aging some of their whiskies.

The challenge of this new edition was to combine the apple with the peat notes of the Springbank barrels (10-12 ppm). For this reason we chose a very thick 19-year-old Pays d'Auge calvados.

It remained for 5 months in 8 of these barrels for a limited edition of 2130 bottles.

Eight barrels of Drouin calvados were traded at Springbank.

The nose opens with deep notes of toasted apples with smoky aromas. It evolves

then on aromas of plum and clafouti with slightly earthy accents.

On the palate it is rich, opulent, structured, marked by toasted notes.

The peat expresses itself in the finish.
