Grappas and Others Spirits

Grappa is a traditional Italian brandy produced from the distillation of pomace.
Its roots are in the peasant tradition of recovery. The pomace, waste from the rich wine production of the peninsula, is still rich in sugars and therefore fermentable to produce aromatic and perfumed distillates.
Grappa can be classified according to various criteria: according to the geographical designation of origin, according to the origin of the grape variety of the pomace or according to ageing: young or white grappa, grappa aged in wood, barricaded or aged grappa. Another type of classification is the regional one which indicates the place of origin and production of the distillate.
