A fine expression of a Scottish single malt whose Glen Garioch distillery keeps a low profile but continues to grow and make a name for itself. Excellent value for money.
As colorful as a vivave Sauvignon Blanc.
On the nose orange blossom honey, oranges, orchards, waxy lemons, jam tarts, black currant jam, oak sailing ship with canvas sails, hint of dunnage, petrichor, roses and leavened dough covered with flour
In the mouth it is sweet! It is reminiscent of orange blossom honey, orange panna cotta, orchards, licorice root, vanilla fondant, rum and raisin ice cream and in the finish dark chocolate covered ginger, crystallized ginger, anise twist, clove balls, peppercorns, roses, hyacinths and a hint of straws.
