Guidalberto from the historic Bolgheri winery "Tenuta San Guido" is an elegant and intense red wine, born from the desire to produce a younger wine than Sassicaia.
It is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, harvested from the beginning of September until mid-October. The grapes are fermented in steel vats at a controlled temperature of 30-31°C and undergo a maceration process which lasts for 15 days, for both vines. The wine is aged for 15 months in French oak barriques, and to a lesser extent American, then rests in the bottle for a further 3 months.
Intense ruby red, the nose opens with pleasant hints of wild berries, enriched with notes of coffee and nuances of Mediterranean scrub. On the palate it is full and powerful, with lively tannins and a long and persistent finish.
