Pure Sangiovese.
This Chianti Classico from Fontodi comes to life from the Filetta vineyard located 600 meters above sea level in the Lamole area, a high vocation Tuscan area reached by the winery as of 2014.
A pure Sangiovese, it is made from organically grown vines. The must ferments in steel with maceration on the skins. The wine is then placed to age for 24 months in large French oak barrels.
The color is intense and brilliant ruby red. The nose expresses aromas of cherry and berries, with hints of licorice, tobacco and violet. On the palate it has an elegant and fluid sip, with good aromatic complexity and a fresh and persistent finish.
Suitable for accompanying stewed meats and roasts, it can be appreciated in combination with aged cheeses.
