Swell de Spirits' Ratafia du Quercy is made from 1/3 Cabernet Franc brandy and 2/3 grape must, distilled in March 2023, blended in September 2023, and aged and fermented for 19 months in stainless steel tanks. The nose is rich and generous, with jammy notes blending with quince and overripe grapes. Sweet almond and dried apricot bring a warm indulgence, while sweetened peach rounds out the experience with a wonderful sweetness. The attack on the palate is fresh with lively raspberries, before veering towards a lovely roundness of yellow and white fruits. Gradually, the palate shifts towards drier notes, characterized by dried fruit. The finish is full and flavorful, dominated by dried fruit and nuts, which prolong the tasting in a beautiful balance between sweetness and structure. A delicious and structured profile, expertly balancing the freshness of the fruit and the richness of the dry notes.
