Aged 18 years in a first-use bourbon barrel (No. 6358), distilled in October 2007 and bottled in April 2026 in only 272 bottles-a whiskey captured at exactly the right time.

In the glass, it is immediately clear why WDC secured this cask: a fine, elegant peat smoke, a vibrant lime freshness that gives the distillate immediate tension, followed by sweet notes like passion fruit, vine peach, ripe and juicy. Underneath lurks a fresh mineral depth, almost like wet limestone.

The palate is powerful, structured, intense, yet perfectly balanced. This precise combination is what makes Bowmore so unique.

"What started as a single cask project turned into something much bigger. When we found ourselves in Benromach's warehouses, ready to choose the perfect cask, it quickly became clear to us: impossible. There were simply too many excellent candidates. Two casks of Sherry First Fill with those deep, creamy, slightly earthy notes that reminded us of the great Benromachs of yesteryear and two other casks of Bourbon First Fill, full of tropical fruit - mango, papaya, coconut - and a touch of salt and smoke that almost reminds us of the coast had particularly stuck in our minds...and in our hearts! Impossible to choose one or the other...so why not choose them all!
Thus was born our first Small Batch with Benromach, and the first time ever that Benromach has collaborated with an independent bottler to create its own batch."
