The name "448 s.l.m." indicates the geographical positioning of the historic farm of the Girlan Winery, which is situated on 448 m altitude. The historical grape varieties of our production area are grouped in this wine. Here, the soils are rich in minerals, formed from sediments from the Ice Age.
Harvesting is done manually in small containers for transport to the winery. The grapes are destemmed and fermented at controlled temperature in stainless steel vats, with subsequent malolactic fermentation. Aging in cement tanks.
With this wine we want to express the typicality of red wines from our production area. It is a fresh, light and fruity wine with a velvety and flowing texture, giving compact aromas of berries and spices.
