From double-roasted barrels to a liquid inspired by a rare rose, the range Stories tells the stories behind The Balvenie's whiskeys. Through these tales, this range offers a glimpse into the life of the distillery, presenting the Whiskey Makers who work there.
Inspired to produce an even more fruity and sweeter Balvenie, Apprentice Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie had the brilliant idea of importing Virgin Oak barrels from Kentucky. After deeply roasting them at The Balvenie Cooperage, they were filled with Balvenie aged in ex-bourbon barrels. The result is a whiskey with rich fruity notes, between apricot and yellow apple, and with strong hints of honey and vanilla.
