The Macallan 12 y.o. Double Cask is a spirit that bears the secret of its success in the name itself. It is in fact a “Double Cask” that tells of a double aging, carried out both in “normal” wood and in barrels where the Oloroso Sherry was once matured. We are therefore faced with a Whiskey that brings with it some of the traits transferred to the wood by this fortified wine, such as the references to honey, which are mixed with more citrus hints and references to spices and ginger. 

In the glass it develops with an iridescent color, between yellow and gold. On the nose there are references of toffee, enriched by sensations of apple, candied fruit and more woody nuances. In the mouth it has a good body, round and enveloping, with a sip characterized by a taste of spices and caramel. It closes with a dynamic and pleasant finish, with good persistence.
