This Armagnac was produced in 1989 by Domaine Pouchegu from Ugni Blanc grapes in Armagnac Ténarèze, France.
It matured for 33 years in French oak barrels and was bottled at 55.9% cask force by Château de Hontambère in collaboration with Grape of the Art and Swell de Spirits in 2023 (07/2023).
Once the cap is removed we enjoy forest aromas, like during a spring walk! Dark cherries, molasses and very ripe fruits, then flowers, fine wood and a hint of smoke, giving the bouquet a fascinating touch!
On the palate it is very rich, sweet and with notes of exotic fruits, strawberry gum and raisins. The texture is very oily and the body heavy and seductive.
