The Habitation Velier Papa Rouyo 2022 rum represents an absolute first for this young microdistillery from Guadeloupe: it is in fact the first aged Pure Single Rum in its history.

Produced from 100% pure cane juice of the Matos and Canne Rouge varieties, this rum is the expression of the 4 historic hectares of Charles Albert Ruscade, known as Papa Rouyo. It was distilled in 2022 and aged for 1 year in a tropical climate, at the distillery, in ex-cognac French oak barrels. The content in congeners is 430.1 g/hlpa, of which 101.6 g/hlpa are esters. Bottled full proof, with an Angel's share of >8%.
