Papa Rouyo Vieux 3 Ans is the first aged rhumagricoltura from this young microdistillery from Guadeloupe. Produced from carefully selected pure cane juice, this rum is made up of a blend of 5 ex-cognac barrels and 2 virgin French oak barrels, aged for 3 years in a tropical climate, in the distillery.
On the nose there is a strong balance between aromas of cinnamon, cloves, orange peel and dried apricot, which blend together to reveal a consistent woodiness during enjoyment.
Ripe walnuts and hazelnuts emerge in the mouth, in a regular balance that makes this rum perfect to accompany a duck with orange, cheese trays or even for a chocolate mousse.
