A Benrinnes distilled in 2008 and aged for 16 years in a first fill ex-sherry Amontillado cask, before being bottled at a natural alcohol content of 53.2% without cold filtration or added colourants. On the olfactory evaluation it offers complex and elegant aromas, with notes of dried fruit, sweet spices and a hint of toasted wood. On the palate, rich, layered flavors of raisins, nuts, caramel and spice emerge, balanced by a delicate wood influence. The finish is long and persistent, with a pleasant sweetness and a touch of spice.
