Envinate

The Envínate winery is a project as versatile as the regions and people that make it up. Laura Ramos, Roberto Santana, Alfonso Torrente, and José Martinez met while studying at the Miguel Hernández University of Oenology in Alicante in 2005. After graduating, they initially founded a wine consulting firm, which soon evolved into Envínate.

From the outset, the project focuses on exploring and showcasing vineyards located in different areas, all equally influenced by the Atlantic. Among the Canary Islands, the vineyards of Tenerife stand out; on the mainland, we find the Amandi subregion of the Ribeira Sacra in Galicia and the Almansa-Manchuela region in the southeastern part of Castile and León. By vinifying the local grape varieties of each area, Laura, Roberto, Alfonso, and José produce wines aimed at conveying the most authentic and pure expression of their regions of origin.
To ensure the wines are made from the purest possible raw materials, synthetic products have been banned from the vineyards; harvests are carried out by hand, and the crushed grapes are fermented using only the wild yeasts naturally present on the skins. In the cellar, again with the aim of allowing the wine to express itself to the fullest without being “artificially altered,” they use spent oak barrels and concrete tanks.
