Amaro Camatti is a historic Genoese specialty, born in 1924 in Recco by Umberto Briganti.
Its original recipe, today kept by the Bergamino family, remains partly secret as per tradition. The production process has remained as artisanal as possible: after a careful selection of the raw materials - among which the almond tree, cinchona, peppermint, gentian and bitter orange stand out - we move on to the infusion and maceration process , studied based on the characteristics of each herb and vegetable.
The infusion obtained is left to decant in stainless steel barrels or barrels and then filtered to eliminate any possible impurities. In 2023, the bitter obtained the prestigious title of World's Best Bitter - the Best Amaro in the World -, awarded by the jury of the World Liqueur Awards.
Excellent enjoyed straight or with ice, Camatti bitters are also very well suited for use in mixology.
