Ardbeg Anamorphic is the single malt made through an experimental and extreme process that twists the boundaries of flavor: as a first step, the heads of Ardbeg casks are removed and deeply incised to expose even more wood to the toasting process. The barrels are then subjected to an infrared treatment, and then exposed to flames. This allows a specific gradient called "high mocha" to be achieved.
The result of this experimental technique devised by Dr. Bil Lumsden is a 4D Single Malt that moves between four key dimensions: sweet, smoky, herbaceous and spicy.
