The historic Barbados distillery, producer of Single Blended Rum, owned by the Ward family for more than a hundred years, is now led by the French Rémy-Cointreau group.

Velier purchased from the Rum Refinery of Mount Gay Ltd. a stock of barrels containing Pure Single Rum, distilled in pot still by Frank Ward master distiller and member of the family that owned the distillery for more than a hundred years. He selected three barrels of a triple distilled 2008 Pure Single Rum from his proprietary stock in Barbados, the only one aged in ex-brandy barrels. A world premiere.
