Lunazul Blanco Tequila is produced entirely from blue agave from Jalisco, which is hand-selected and hand-harvested. After the agaves are slowly cooked, they are left to ferment; the next step is double distillation in specially crafted cognac stills. The Blanco is characterized by the great freshness of the agave, which reveals itself here in all its aromas.
Lunazul was founded in 2002 by Francisco Beckmann, a seventh-generation descendant of the oldest dynasty of tequila producers. Raised with a deep reverence for the agave plant, Francisco founded Tierra de Agaves with the intention of creating a premium tequila produced with integrity, quality, and simplicity. Sharing his love for this craft with his family, he passed on the traditions and the business to his son Jorge, who became president in 2005.
Lunazul Tequila Blanco is the winner of the 2021 International Wine & Spirit Competition and the 2022 Global Spirits Awards.
