Voyer 1985 is the second annual release of GotA and the first for cognacs!
A grand champagne cognac whose production was characterised by a balanced climate: a cool spring, followed by a sunny and dry summer, ideal for a slow and steady ripening of the Ugni Blanc grapes. This contributed to wines with a refined aromatic profile and great distillation potential. For cognacs, the harvest was relatively small in terms of volume but of very high quality, which partly explains why 1985 vintages are not often found on the market today.
The aromatic profile is rich, intense and penetrating, notes of dried fruit and spices marry perfectly with hints of crème brulee, dry biscuits flavoured with gianduja and vanilla. The finish is persistent, the mouth remains suspended between pastry notes and a licorice aftertaste that refreshes the tasting, a very high level cognac!
