"What started as a single cask project has transformed into something much bigger. When we found ourselves in the Benromach warehouses, ready to choose the perfect cask, it immediately became clear to us: impossible. There were simply too many excellent candidates. Two First Fill Sherry casks with those deep, creamy and slightly earthy notes that remind us of the great Benromachs of old and two other First Fill Bourbon casks, rich in tropical fruit – mango, papaya, coconut – and a touch of salt and smoke almost reminiscent of the coast, particularly stood out in our minds... and in our hearts! It was impossible to choose one or the other... so why not choose them all?! Thus was born our first Small Batch with Benromach, and the first time ever that Benromach has collaborated with an independent bottler to create its own batch."
