The recipe for Bordiga Excelsior Vermouth has remained unchanged over time—the same as it was in the late 19th century—featuring a skillful blend of wine, sugar, alcohol, and infusions of Alpine herbs and aromatic plants sourced from the area surrounding the distillery. Bordiga created its first Vermouth in 1888, the year the company was founded. Even today, the words “Vermouth Bordiga” can be seen on the wall of the distillery’s historic headquarters.
Bordiga Vermouth features on its label an image of the historic recipe linked to the distant colonies of East Africa, where the rare spices originated; when skillfully blended with fine Piedmont wine and excellent Alpine medicinal herbs, these ingredients give rise to the traditional Turin Vermouth.
