Le Vigilant, the one who watches over the vineyards of Chateau Triac.
A seductive dance of aromas welcomes the senses, with dried apricot reigning supreme. Delicate hints of peach and milk chocolate embrace the nose, while a subtle floral background enhances its complexity. The first sip reveals a rich texture with surprising depth. The dried apricot re-emerges, now accompanied by the warmth of toasted almonds. The finish is prolonged and elegant, where the freshly planed wood emerges as a final tribute to the barrel in which this cognac is matured. A subtle spiciness lingers, leaving a lasting impression.
" Behind the majestic gates, we discovered a domain steeped in 150 years of history with important Norwegian influences. We had the opportunity to taste several unique barrels and dame jeannes, but our attention was particularly drawn to this 1995 vintage Grande Champagne. As is well known, vintage cognacs are not common, so it was time to savor another vintage cognac in the glass. It became the 1995 Grande Champagne! We were initially told that this cognac had an alcohol content of 50.4%, which we accepted. However, upon analysis, it turned out that the angels had been greedy, with an actual alcohol content of 40.86%, a darkness of 0.38 (indicating no added sugar/caramel/woodiness) and 0.2g of alcohol. sugar/liter (of course, no added sugar; a side note: cognac can be sweetened up to +/- 12 g/l)."
