Hendrick's is one of the world's most famous gins, born from the genius of Lesley Gracie, Master Distiller at William Grant's, and a stroke of luck: President Charles Gordon's purchase of two incredible stills—a Carter-Head and a Bennet. Lesley accepted the challenge of creating a new and original gin, which was launched in 1999 with its utterly unusual aromas of Damask rose and cucumber. It was an immediate and extraordinary success, ushering in a true revolution in the world of gin. In addition to rose petals and cucumber, Hendrick’s is made with coriander, juniper berries, angelica, cumin, and lemon zest.
