Comando G's Mataborricos is produced in Spain in the easternmost part of Madrid, overlooking the ocean coast. The winery is managed by Daniel Gomez Landi and Fernando Garcia who share a passion for viticulture and the idea of enhancing the native vines, the territory and the landscape. Each phase of viticulture takes place with total respect for nature and the ecosystem surrounding the vineyards, so that the quality of the final product can be excellent and unique.
The vineyards of Comando G's Rosso "Mataborricos" extend over approximately 5 hectares of vineyards located in mountainous and difficult to reach areas, so much so that viticulture can be considered heroic. The cultivation regime chosen is biodynamic with the use of natural decoctions; the soil is worked with horses to avoid ruining the granite and sandy layer and pesticides and synthetic chemicals are completely banned. The harvest is carried out manually and the whole bunches undergo maceration; fermentation is spontaneous thanks to the action of indigenous yeasts in open amphorae. Refines 12 months in amphora.
At sight, the Rosso “Mataborricos” by Comando G has an intense garnet red with brilliant reflections. On the nose there are fruity hints, balsamic and herbaceous aromas, while in the mouth it is warm, enveloping and deep with tannins well integrated into the structure for a curious drink. It is recommended in combination with grilled red meat dishes, mixed cold cuts and seasonal vegetable dishes. Perfect for the family party table to enjoy an authentic and genuine product.
