Grape of the Art Esperance 2003 was presented at the "German Armagnac Festival 2024".
It is a Bàs Armagnac aged for 19 years in a semi-humid cellar, distilled from Baco grapes, matured in cask number 60 and bottled as it came out of wood at a cask strength of 48.4% for a total of 257 pieces.
The bouquet is practically the antithesis of the dark Hontambère 1983, with bright fruits that almost catch the eye: apricots, mirabelle plums, quinces and yellow apples! In the midst of all this, notes of spring flowers and a sweetness of acacia honey blossom. On the finish, lemons and cedar peel are clearly distinguishable, providing extraordinary freshness and balance.
