The youngest of Glenallachie's trio of cask-finished whiskies, released in mid-2019.

While the 10-year and 12-year offerings enjoy more traditional finishes in port and sherry casks respectively, this bottling was aged for a period in rye whiskey casks from Chicago's innovative Koval distillery.

The rye barrel lent delicious spicy flavors to Glenallachie's naturally delicious spirit. The end result offers notes of rye bread, vanilla, maple syrup, light dill, chopped mint, cinnamon, nutmeg, honey, light red chili, green apples, malt, grainy sweetness and cloves.

A truly interesting whisky, this bottling is presented at 48% ABV and without cold filtration or colouring, ensuring an intense full bodied glass.
