A unique Cognac, creation of the renowned Grosperrin bottlers.
"Cépages" translates from French as "grape variety" and refers to the three different grape strains used in this Cognac bottling which are specifically: Colombard, Folle Blanche and Ugni Blanc.
Each grape used gives something different: Colombard provides power and depth, Ugni Blanc gives structure and balance and Folle Blanche gives a slight acidity and finesse.
Each of the grapes used to produce this Cognac comes from the first Grande Champagne Cru. This Cognac contains a blend of different vintages, from 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. After distillation, the spirit was aged for a minimum of 4 years in French oak barrels.
The final product offers notes of fresh and bright grapes, apples, some acacia honey, dried flowers, peppery spices, vanilla, creamy butter, spicy oak and toffee. Once again, Grosperrin has produced a VSOP which is an edge over other Cognacs in this age grade.
